Hi Mopar people's, can anybody out there in Mopar land tell me the cam specs for a 1964 426 street wedge from the factory ?. thanks.

Howdy,
I just did a "search" and found lots of data on the "street-wedge"
My 440 built as a Max wedge is cammed "up"
Keep researching, the data is there.

I typed in: Lunati+Chrysler cam spec and found this:
•Advertised Duration (Int/Exh): 292/292
•Duration @ .050 (Int/Exh): 230/230
•Gross Valve Lift (Int/Exh): .480/.480
•LSA/ICL: 109
•Valve Lash (Int/Exh): Hyd/Hyd
•RPM Range: 2500-6000
•Includes: Cam & Lifters (#71977PR-16)

Comp Cams:
High Energy™ 252H; 800 - 4800 RPM Range

So, just do a search and find youe specific needs.
Plenty of data out there.

1964 and 1965 426-S 'Street Wedge'

Camshaft........... Hydraulic
Lift................... .431"/.431"
Duration............ 268*/268*
Overlap............. 46*

Valve Springs..... Single-Coil
Valve Closed.... #134 lbs.
Valve Open....... #208 lbs.

Yes, it was 'laughably' mild for a 426 'Street-Wedge' Engine.

I doubt it's 112 LSA. Probably more like 114 - 115. The stock cams were pretty much broom sticks. I also don't think the springs were at 130 lbs. Even the Road Runner cam springs were about 110 lbs with a damper. I'm gong to say 80 lbs on the springs, .430" lift and about 256 duration. Somewhere I saw the old cam specs but can't find it at the moment. The Max Wedge is a different story.

From the Mopar Book

Applications
1962 and 1963.......... 'Dodge Police Special 383'
1964 and 1965.......... 426/365 HP 'Street Wedge'
1964 and 1965.......... 383/330 HP '4-Barrel'

Type.......... Hydraulic
Lift............ .431" / .431"
Duration..... 268* / 268*
Overlap....... 40"
LSA............ 115*

Valve Springs
Type.................... Single-Coil
Valve Closed........ #85 to #95 lbs. > @ 1.86" Spring Height
Valve Open.......... #195 to #208 lbs. > @ 1.43 Spring Height

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Of course, Mopar dumped the '426 Street-Wedge' at the end of the 1965 model year.

For 1966, the Big-Block Camshaft was changed to;

Lift........... .425" / .437"
Duration.... 256* / 260*
Overlap...... 32*

And the 383 was now rated at {325 HP}, instead of previously rated {330 HP}.
