426 wedge exhaust manifolds

Hello there
I was considering using the 63-65 426 wedge exhaust manifolds on a 64
New Yorker with a 413 I recently purchased.
The ones I have now seem quite tiny and are center dumping.
How do the 426 manifolds compare performance wise to the 68-69 or 70-71 383/440 HP manifolds? Has anyone ever done a test or a comparison? Are they compatible to use 2/12"exhaust?

I heard somewhere that because these manifolds are rear dumping instead of after the 3rd cylinder like the newer HP ones they are quite efficient. Is this true? Are these manifolds desireable and worth having?

Before responding; for clairification 2-questions for you? 1) Are you certain the 64 New Yorker has a 413 in it directly from the factory? 2) Are you talking about standard RB wedge exhaust manifolds or the 426 Max Wedge style exhaust manifolds?

re 4276 exhaust manifolds

The car is factory original with the 413. The manifolds I'm taking about are the 426 ones that are not the max wedge ones. They are part number 2203262 Left and 2205898 Right.
