Hey Randy what's the difference in the blocks between the 70 440 non-HP block and the HP block? I am looking for a block to start an engine build up, and I'm looking for as much HP as I can get! Do I care if the block I start with is HP or not?

There is no difference in the blocks. The HP stamping tells you it was for a High Performance car, and there were different componets in and on the engine. Heads, intake and exhaust manifolds, cam, ect.
