440 block production question

I have come across a MOPAR 440 engine block dated 9-8-65. Does anyone know when they started manufacturing these blocks in 1965 for the 1966 model year? I have never seen one dated this early. Does anyone have a 440 block dated earlier? Thanks for any feedback.

Like you said that sounds like the first run of castings for the 66 model year. Those were installed in the big Chisslers. Pretty cool find!

Does the block casting number have a re-core # at the end? (-?)
