ANY MOPAR BROTHERS OUT THERE HAVE OR KNOW WHERE TO GET A REAL GOOD CORRECT FITTING ENGINE DOLLY FOR A 440? GETTING READY TO PICKUP MY 496. THANKS GUYS , HAPPY HOLIDAYS.:merrychristmas:
I made a cradle for mine took all of 1 and half start to finish. I used 2 pieces of 3/4 plywood(2x4) bought at home depot, one on top of the other. I bolted large casters to the plywood. 2 fixed , 2 swivel. Next, 2 right angle straps to be bolted to the rear of the of the engine where the bell housing mounts to(you can reinforce it with triangles welded). I used a torch to bend the straps. Worked great. Next, I used a block of wood to support the front of the engine under the oil pan. That was also bolted to the plywood. DO NOT USE LAG BOLTS! I used a jig saw to cut a hand hold in the front of it and attached a rope to pull it. I put to eye bolts on either side to strap the engine done securely. Worked great, rolled easily.
