I dropped a 440 in my Sport Fury and it seems to be aligned a little too far towards the passenger side. I am sure the motor mounts are the correct ones. The tranny is against the tunnel on the passenger side.. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am new to the site and I will have pics posted of the car this morning..

Are you sure the motormounts are correct for the K-member? I believe there's a difference in K-members from 65-up. Because you have a 440 and that's AFTER 65, that could explain the difference. Correct me if i'm wrong....

The eng in our Mopars is offset to the pass side a small amout but the trans should not hit the side of the tunnel. If you look at the eng you will see its not centered with the center of the hood but thats normal. I have a 440 in my 63 Sport Fury with the factory mounts and the factory K-frame and mine is fine. Even the later K-frame will not throw everything off center as the only difference is the eng sits back about 1" to 2" more. Not sure what is wrong without looking at your car but it would have to be some kind of mount problem ?? Ron

Moose, did you use the motor mounts (metal & rubber) from the '64 Fury, or the ones that are stock for a 440 engine? I think that the ones in my '71 383 are different from the ones in my '64 Belvedere with a 426 engine.

Moose! If you used the 63,64,or65 b,rb,mounts and rubbers you should be perfect. If you live in San Jose, which i think is fairly close to Modesto, go to Harry Holton"s shop in Modesto and they will be able to help you out ! Ask for Chris, tell him John Lang sent you, he'll probably drop kick you! Just kidding! If you still have trouble give me a call as i have several sets of mounts and insulaters for 63 thru 65 B bodies w/ b or rb engines on 318 k members ! John Lang 920.918.9002

Hi John- I have a 64 fury convertible that came with a 318 and the 68 = 440block is almost finished at the machine shop. You seem to be knowledgable about the motor mounts and I would appreciate a shove in the right direction.Do you have any mounts for sale or is Schumaker a good source.Thank you
