440 kick down linkage help needed

with the 440 i just installed using the push button trans i need a pick of the right kick down rod and bracket that mounts on the intake of this trans....
 
I'm pretty sure the early cars had a one piece throttle pressure (kick down) rod.

this is correct. the early trans, at least my 65 trans, doesn't have the cast in boss to mount the later kickdown linkage. i think any early one piece 2bbl or 4bbl rod for a big block should work. finding a cable bracket may not be that easy. i had to fab a kickdown rod and brackets for my ch6 and ch28 intakes.
 
Cool! The memory isn't totally gone - yet!

Some mid 60's Fords have a one piece bent up tube they use for a kick down, so maybe he can snag one of those at PNP and work it over.
 
lokar makes a cable for this but i don't care much for it, just a personal opinion.
