whats the best plug wires to use with headers....

I like the Taylor Cable part #74271. They are silicone jacketed and have straight boots that are good for headers. At Summit for $57.95.

I seem to have good luck with the little stock black ones. I have also had to use an angled boot on a couple.

Depends on the headers of course, but all mine are 90 degree boots and all fit fine. Some are close but haven't burned yet.

I've got 8.5 mil with a 90's and straights as needed and I've put socks on all just for extra protection. Always burned 6and 8 with these damn Hooker headers.

The key is the type of boot and plug. Shorty plugs and angle boots will clear most headers. Strategic use of those will clear Hooker headers with no problem whatsoever. As mentioned earlier, the skinnier cable boots actually clear better than the fat ones.

I really like these Firecore plug wires. They come at 45 degree angle but you can bend them straight or 90. A member on Moparts sells them "SunroffGTX". Ron
