I will soon be building a 440 block and want to order this oil pan kit http://www.manciniracing.com/ma8quoilpanp.html problem is that i dont know what pick sptube size to get? Anyone know?
So stock 440 blocks all use a 3/8 pick up? Thats all i needed to know. Thanks3/8" is stock 440. 1/2" is Hemi size. Maybe a racer will tell if you can enlarge the 440 block to 1/2 for more oil?
Would a 6 quart pan seem more suitable for street/strip use?Why such a large pan?
Do you think maybe this will be more suitable for my application? http://www.manciniracing.com/ststheoilpa61.htmlUse a Hemi/six pack style pan. You really don't want a drag racing pan on a street car. Plus and more importantly you don't need it.
Yes you’d probaly be better off with 6-7qt panDo you think maybe this will be more suitable for my application? http://www.manciniracing.com/ststheoilpa61.html

A stock location sump pan for use in stock Chrysler B & E body chassis. Wide sump increases capacity yet allows ample ground clearance. Fully baffled for competition use. Stock steering will not interfere with this pan.
