I am thinking of using 440source roller rocker set up and the billit dist looks iteresting. have any of you used them? and if so what results?
my combo is...
std bore 440 with kb 236 pistons with the dome milled down
eagle H beam rods
440 source stelth heads, 10.6-1 comp(aprox)
comp 305H cam
steel crank. .010-.010
eddy torker II
holley 850DP
how does the combo look? any opinions?
67 satellite w/ 727 3000 stall
gears undecided.

The 440 Source rockers should work OK with the spring load pressures of the Comp 924 valve springs recommended for that cam. I would not recommend the Source billet distributor with that cam because the cam will want about 20 degrees initial and 16 degrees mechanical. To get that much initial with that small of mechanical you will have to bend the tabs inside the distributor to limit the mechanical advance. It's just a poorly designed distributor for anything but a stock duration camshaft.

Arizona,
I did use them on one of my builds and had problems. I had notch out a part on my head to have them fit, they did not line up right, spent a lot of time setting them up with shims, etc. Also, they come with needle bearings, not a fan of needle bearings. Just my .02 cents, go with something that is bronze bushed, I did. RAS, but much more expensive and they double checked all before shipping, great crew there. I would look around, the lower cost steel ones on Ebay may not be bad, but never used them and they are made overseas.

Each piece has it's place/build.

Decide what you need and get it.

When you go to bigger spring pressure that when it will cost more $

I was able to pick up a set from tazxprs this past weekend,:pink banana: I am impressed with them, I have ordered the push rod tool so next is to order new push rods. I will not be exceeding .550 lift so should be no problem. thanks sooo much to you all for all the valuable information I have obtained on the site!:headbang: you all ROCK!!
