hey guys iI need alittle help . I want to put a 440 into my 70 satellite which is now a 318 is the k member the same

If Mark doesn't have any brackets, I do for sure. You are aware that you will need a bunch of other stuff to complete the swap like a big block trans, swap out the under hood engine harness if you want it to be right, exhaust etc etc....

You can make a sb work on a bb by extending the coil and dist wires to the front of the motor.

X2 on the radiator!!! Cooling was the single biggest problem I had when I went from a 318 to a 440.

Water temp sensor wire is shorter on the small block too....and of course, you'll need the linkages for the big block. You already have a V8 K frame so you're good to go with that but you will probably need a different trans crossmember.

I'm thinking the Trans X member will be OK.
I mounted my coil on the inner fender with my swap, and just ran a little longer coil lead.
What kind of linkage do you have? Steering column, floor console, Aftermarket cable shifter?
I'm using a TCI lightweight reverse pattern shifter, so that didnt make any differance for me.
Of course the trans itself will be different "I assume you know this".
Drive shaft might be different too.... Not too sure on that one though. I think at least the Yoke will need changing out from the driveshaft.
