I'm sure this has been asked a hundred time, but here goes! I have a oil leak on one valve cover, lower rear corner passenger side. Tried to tighten the bold,s a quater turn and it only made it worse. My question is, what is the best brand gasket to use (fel-pro, Mr. gasket ect.) and what material (ie rubber, cork, rubber empregnated cork ect.ect.) and what about any gasket sealer? Thanks

i use the high temp felpro's they work great.the thin edge of the mopar heads can cut some cork gaskets pretty easy, more so if over tightened.if you are running steel valve covers, flip them over and use a ball peen hammer lightly at the holes to reverse dimple them.some small bolt spreaders dont hurt either.

They can cut those expensive steel core / neoprene ones real easy too - :angryfire:

I always stud the covers...1/4 by 20..seats the cover exact and no leaks

and I always use cork
