HI iam new to this forum an i have read some of the threads but i still have some question on the 470 stroker kit out of the 400 .iam looking to build one an i want to run it on the street so a mild build motor would be fine. duel plane intake ,9.5 or 10.1 comp.with a mild lift cam .alum.heads, roller rockers ,850 carb or so . do you guys have any good idea what this would make for hp ? or if anyone has done this kit what did they have in there motor an do they have any numbers on it..IAM currently running a 440 with 425-450 hp range an i want MORE!! any help would be great

That is just a light 440.......all that is, is a .060 over 440 at the end of the day...

Do the 470 (3.9 crank/6.3) with the 400 rod, this is a change of more than just weight.
Then you want to see what you want for heads and you can stray from a dual plane not lose low end response

The 470 was popular before all the stroker kits were avliable. It originallu used a 440 crank that was welded up and offset ground to a 3.90" stroke. Now you can get a 4.15" or 4.25" stroker kit and have 499" or 512" stroker out of a 400 or 440 block.
