4th gen rag joint

i have both a 73 and a 74 rr and was wondering if theres a way u can eliminate the rag joint completly being rag joints at almost impossible to find with the right thickness and metal tabs inside rubber rag joint and they mostly crack n fall apart and end result with crappy steering so if somone has done this or knows of a way to due this a reply would be great thanks every one for your help....

If you don't get a response on here, try the Ford Enthusiast Forum for the 60-70 series F100 trucks. I just replaced one in a 69 Ford F100 and several people on there had eliminated them, but I believe they changed the whole steering column and stuff, just don't remember. Concept should be the same. But I would imagine someone on here has some experience, if not it would be the first time
