Hey motor head peeps,
Has anybody actually checked the true volume on a stock 516 head chamber with a cylinder head cc kit??
I have found in print anywhere from 73.5cc to 78cc. I'm hoping to get an more exact reading before ordering new pistons for a 413 I'm rebuilding..
Thanks FBBO....:icon_kidra:

well..the best way to know what you have is to measure the ones you have in hand. takes all the variables away.

take into account milling ect

All the ones I've checked were right at 80cc. cc kit? Kinda hard to go wrong with a 100cc horse syringe. Why spend 100+ bucks when a piece of thick plexiglass with a couple of holes and a syringe will do the same job? But yeah, check what you have. Never know if they've been milled or what and I've even found chambers that were different on the same head!

Should be the same as a 915 head. My 915's CC'd at 79.5.

Yup. I've find they vary some but usually not more than 1cc but I did find a set of open chambered heads that had one chamber that was nearly 3cc different. Thing is, each head had one that was different and both were on the end...#1 or #8 depending on how you placed them.
