I recently discovered that the 6.4 Hemi I purchased last year is most likely not from a 2016 challenger as was advertised.
I was researching how to decipher the sticker with the serial numbers on the valve cover last week to better understand my engine. The sticker on my valve cover isn’t present. Someone peeled it off. So I checked the block near the oil filter and found the number stamped on it to be TNXE6012210770.
Break down :
TNXE6 - Saltillo engine plant
0122 - Julian Date / 12th day of 2012
1 - Shift number
0770 - Engine serial number
I have some questions that I hope one of you good folks can answer for me. I have googled a bunch of stuff and can’t find the answers.
Does the number get stamped on the block at assembly or when it’s been machined after casting? And does that serial number match the valve cover sticker?
Does anyone know what the difference is between Holley Terminator X Max Part Number 550-1423 (2007-2012) and the 550-1425 (2007-2013+) ?
Do all Challenger 6.4’s come with SRV?
