6.4 w/ trans

looking at a 6.4 hemi with auto trans with all the accesorys and wiring harnesses and computer. how much more equipment needed to get going in a b-body. is there an aftermarket wiring harness to go with old and new, maybe new gas pedal . dont know what else off hand, thanks for your guys help. keeping my options open to go old school or new school.
 
Call Chris or Tony at hotwireauto.com they can point ya in the right direction. I can help ya with the pre 08 and down 5.7 or 6.1, but the 09 and up stuff has me baffled for the moment.
 
The mounting,oiling mods and compatable trans are the same as any of the earlier GenIII Hemis. It's only the engine management that is special. Hotwire, BG or Modern Muscle could fill you in on that. The 09 and up 5.7's and 6.4's are unique in that they run variable cam timing and variable runner length intakes which requires a specific ECM.

THANKS GUYS, the 6.4 im looking at is complete, motor..trans..all acc..wiring and computer comes with.
 
Interested in sharing what the going rate for a 6.4 is these days? (I understand if not, I am just curious as I have not even seen one for sale)
 
i passed on the 6.4...they wanted 11 grand with the trans, it had 500 miles on it...bought me a 6.1 with trans for almost half as much.
 
The engine management system will be much easier to deal with on the 6.1 for sure.
 
Good choice, now use some left over money and get some go-fast parts for the rest of your car.
 
Yeah 11k for a 6.4 seems ludacris. you can build/buy some farely potent crate engines for that or like 5.7 suggests pay 6k for the 6.1 and buy 5k in go fast goodies! Do I hear a turbo whine!?
