Guys I need help. My transmission guy called, and asked me if I wanted a 6 or 8 bolt bell flange for my '69 440 coronet. My questions are, what do I go with and why? Thanks in advance for the replies. I'm trying to make it to Englishtown!

Did he mean to ask you if your crank shaft was a 6 bolt or an 8 bolt? For your flex plate to mount to. Maybe he is going to get you a new flex plate too.

Motor guy says he went with the 8 bolt crank and new flex plate for my 440? I thought that the 8 bolt were only for Hemis?

Mopar Performance cranks came as an 8 bolt flange

Hemi's did come with the 8 bolt cranks but they started to make wedge cracks with 8 bolts. A lot of the stroker kits have 8 bolts.

Yes, I forgot to mention that its a stroker build. Thanks for all of your input.
