Do all 6 pack carbs have diaphragms on the side or just the vacuum carbs?

The center carb has no diaphragm, as it is directly controlled by the throttle.

do the out boards carbs have them then? Isnt there a vac 6 pack and a mech 6 pack??

Outboards do have mechanical linkage to them and vacuum (diaprams) pull them fully open. Some guys have modified To be fully mechanical but the systems work very well in it's original configuration...particularly for street driving.

all factory carbs had vacuum operated secondary carbs. in the very early '70's a mechanical after market set of carbs was offered. i bought a set thru a speed shop; some may have been offered thru mopar (?).

Lew is correct.

I will add that the mech linkage on the side is to make sure the outboard carbs close. Do not run without this linkage!
