Sloppy hand, lol.
His brother bought it in 1974, I remember doing a brake job on it in 1975. He then bought a 70 GTO, and put the charger under a blue tarp. I was spending time out of town, so didn't know he created a rain forest over it.
He gave it to his bro 2 years ago; him having the $, and me laid off, we spent 3 days a week on it. New floor pans, trunk pan, partial 1/4's, new sails, fixed rear ledge. All the door dings, rotten rockers, etc. All welded. He has a metal roller, makes life easy. Stripping the tail, mostly rot, made new patches. Learned to detest body filler. Being a front end guy when first out of high school, I rebuilt the front susp. Kmember was tweaked from a wreck, but got it back with his 20 ton press.
Re-arched rear springs, had 8 3/4 re-built with 3.55 posi. New interior, A lot of work done on his scary rotisserie. New windshield and gasket (leaks like a sieve), installed by a pro-hah!. Rebuilt door hinges. New aftermarket a/c.
Original 383 2bbl; I talked his bro into buying a 68 440 I found in 1974- sent that to Dvorack to be re-built, (pulled the heavy 6pak rods out- was a 4 bbl, lighter 1/16" ring pistons, balanced; 9.0, mild cam, ported iron, tti, msd eddy 750, 3 core rad, 727 by Turbo Action, 3k stall.
Between my $ and beer, parts, paint shop; mega $.
