I have a 62 fury and want to add power steering. I see online that Borgeson has an after market set up which would end up to be about 900 for everything including pump, brackets and hoses. Has anyone done this and is that the way to go?

Check out Firm Feel, and jimsautoparts.com

They have all that stuff as well, sometimes cheaper sometimes not. But it opens your options and hopefully save you a few bucks. But the gear unit alone will run at least $400 usually.

I have not done this, but I am making my power steering "better". Going to install a quick ratio box, with a saginaw stye power steering pump. Federal power steering boxes are not the way to go in my opinion. I don't like them.

But if you do go with the saginaw pump, you will have to figure out what brackets, belt, and hoses to buy because it isn't stock you your car. I am going through that with mine right now.

the steering shaft in the column for manual steering is too long for a factory style power steering swap.

The borgeson system is a nice set up but be prepared to do some grinding on the case for clearance. It is actually a jeep grand cherokee box,but it does work
