After getting a couple different tranny's bellhousings and not quite working I've ended up w/ the following tranny.

4sp
c-96561-h main
c-96707-j tail

What I was wondering is, if I got the Lakewood 15330 scattershield, will I need to build a new trans mount or can I just get another OEM to fit the 4sp?

TIA

all scattershields I've seen are made to fit stock bellhousing dim's. So no you dont.

You will have to modify the zbar mount, unless it is an old shield! The newer ones the ball mount is back farther from the flange. Also I think you'll need the bushing for the frt.bearing retainer!unless it's a later trans.

Yea, somebody told me just to drill and tap about a 1/2 inch lower. Sound about right?
