Guys,

Quick question. I know 63,64,65 dodge two door sedan doors are interchangeable. Are plymouths as well? I have a 64 dodge 2 door sedan. A friend of mine has a 64 plymouth door. It sure looks the same to me. Will it fit my dodge?

thanks

I don’t believe 63 are the same as 64-65. The A pillar rake is different between 63 and 64. 64-65 Post doors should be the same between Ply and Dodge.

Per the Hollander Interchange Manual:
63 Dodge & Plymouth 2 dr. sdn. interchange (#1415)
64-65 Dodge & Plymouth 2 dr sdn. interchange (#1535) WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE 65 FURY (#1631)
Don't know why the Fury is different. The manual only lists Furys and Belvederes.

Yes the 64 Plymouth door will work on your 64 Dodge; but not for my 63 Plymouth which has a 63 Dodge door on the right side, only difference was the trim holes for mine.

Chrysler did everything in series back then. 62 63 were the same dodge n Plymouth. 64 n 65 the same dodge n Plymouth.

Aren't the latches/catches different between '63 and '64 as well?

Latches are different all else is the same. My 64 Plymouth has a 65 Dodge door on it. I would have to look but I believe the lock plates can be cut and welded between the 63 and the 64/65.

thanks guys.. i guess if I had thought that one through I would know 63 wouldn't work. great, well I found a solid door for my 64 then... :) much appreciated!!

Alright, I feel like you definitely got your answer but if you're stuck like we were when we built our altered and needed to do a two door conversion we had no choice but to use '63 two door doors and B-pillars on our '64. The A-pillar angle was corrected with our donor four door doors and everything lined up pretty good. Just so you know that it "can" work with a bit more effort.
