I know this car personally.
I can't think of one thing bad to say about it.
No disappointments.

Forgot to mention I have a set of American Racing mags with new tires for the front that will go with the car....if desired.

I already knew that :)

WOW .... all that and palm trees too..Very nice ..but I'm a little partial to black 63's :laughing7:

Not sure

Nice looking car! I'm a bit puzzled by the "industrial block". Is that a marine engine? Can you give me any more information on it? Does that fat seat belt also have shoulder belts?
Thanks
sunger

Not a marine engine, read this interesting story:

http://www.440source.com/blockinfo.htm

a little past halfway down the page they show a pic and talk about the "industrial block" 413, 426 and 440's.

The seat belts I installed because there were none and I am not comfortable not wearing one and to make it street legal, so why not go big.

Thanks for the information, that is a good article.
Your car is nice, and I am looking for something new. I'm talking with someone else on this forum about his 64 polara 500. If things don't pan out, I'll be in touch.
Thanks
Steve

Sorry, I didn't answer your question, there are no shoulder harnesses.
Also, I have put the American Racing Torque Thrust D's back on the front.
The black steel wheels (incl new tires) are included as well.
This is what the car looks like now:

Sharp!

It really looks nice with those wheels. What shape is the chrome in? Undercarrage? Overheating?
I am looking for something I can have some fun with at car shows, and also go on an occasional poker run or something. The car doesn't appear to need much, from the few pictures I can see. The line lock tells me the car has been raced. Do you know anything about where/when? How does it handle on a Sunday 40 mile drive? Is the cam etc too much for that sort of thing?
The fun at car shows appears obvious, but the Sunday drive concerns me.

The chrome is fine, undercarriage looks like new, has never overheated on me yet, it is 90 plus here everyday, I drove it 10 miles to a car show day before yesterday the temp showed 170 when I got there (this is on the streets, no freeways). I have had it on the freeway with no problem, but it will turn more rpm's because of the 3.91 gears.
I don't think this car has been raced, there were no seat belts when I bought it. The guy I bought it from was going to convert it to a race car but decided it was too nice to chop up, so I think he just started with a line lock and didn't go any further.
The cam lift/duration is not too radical for cruising, I drive it at 50-70 mph and it pulls nice and smooth, however, it sounds great when idling.
