Could you supply the first four digits of the vin on the door pillar. I'm thinking all wagons were made at the same plant but I'm not sure.

Four different plants used different locations (ABC) on the fender tag for the codes.

Based on the heart inspection stamp, then bent upper left corner, the marks in the upper right and the general coding layout, I’ll bet the car was built at the StL plant.

Like 69Coronetrt predicted it was built at the St. Louis plant. 4th digit on the vin (7)

Unfortunately I don't have a St. Louis format on the code locations on the fender tag. I have the codes just not where they belong on each line.

Tag coding for 1963 was plant specific and I don't know if the decode information for 1963 St. Louis plant is out there. One thing that would be helpful is to find the Broadcast sheet. Look under the front and back seats to see if it is still stuck in the springs. Feel over the glove box/dash for a sheet.

Thanks. The seats have been reupholstered, so not likely there, but maybe I'll find over the glove box.
The car has what seems to be an odd build. Rubber floor mats, padded dash, chrome roof rack, power steering, with manual brakes.

Why is that odd for 1963? There were few packages then. Pretty much every option available required a decision as to whether or not it would be included on the car.

Good looking car! Nice condition on the body. Do you own it or shopping?

I can tell you it was scheduled To be built for 2-20-63.
It came with aqua body paint and a white roof.

I bought it last Saturday, brought it home yesterday, and with a new fuel pump, motor running, not "not purring" yet, but running.

FOUND IT!

Found just laying on the floor under the rear seat. Some kind of miracle, as the seat has been reupholstered, and was not even mounted in the clips. Also found another that was mostly gone, but did have the damaged areas, of the first one intact

I did this in a hurry. You can verify by what you have. I'm thinking you have a V8 car it's just hard to get the engine code to coincide with my book.

Thanks for that decode. All seems to match my car. Do you know what A11 axle is? I am assuming 3:23 open.

The only axle code I show with a "1" is a 531 which would be a 2.76:1

Like the engine code, I'm not sure how they relate the two, (sales code to build sheet).
