I have a 63 Fury and am looking to get it up and go with 15" wheels, what wheel width tire size and wheel offset, should I be looking for? I do not want a fender scraping scenario . I am going for a equal look on all four corners, this is a 4 dr machine with a mildy modified mill. Would like to go with centerline's - solid as I am runnin drums. Appreciate any input. The stock 14" look a little valiant an need a change

I used to have a set of the 15x8's on the rear and 15x5 rallye wheels on my 63 belvedere.

I have a 63 Fury Convertible. I've run 15"X7" with 3 3/4" back spacing on the front and rear. P235/60R15 on the front and P275/60R15 on the rear. I tried 15"X8 1/2" on the rear, but on my car they allowed the tires to hit when I hit a bump. They didn't hit on the lip, but up inside the outer fender, as it bends toward the trunk pretty quickly. These are American Racing Torq Thrusts.

Dave,
I have the "American" Torque Thrusts and BFG 265-60-15s but I can NOT get them on the rear of my 63 Polara.
My back-space is:
Uh, I'll measure tonight when I get home....

Here is my '64 Polara with 15"x7" stock steel wheels. I had to trim the inside corner off the front of the fender wheel opening. The outer edge of the tire would rub the fender while turning. You can't even tell it's been trimmed.

7396272-2012-08-19_17-07-49_66(1280x722).jpg15x7 with 275/60x15 there's a ton of room. A 8" wheel would fit easily. Measure off set from the drum face to the leaf spring and then to fender lip. Offset will differ on whether it has the stock axle housing. 225/70x15 works well on the front. Here is my sons 62 sleeper (10.08@136).
