63 Max Wedge scoop mounting

I'm getting ready to mount a Max Wedge scoop on my steel hood and I'd like to know how far off the back edge in the center of the hood does the scoop need to be ? I do believe I have the better reproduction of the scoop as it is NOT from a chip-chop gun. My car is an original 383 car and now Max Wedge clone. Can't wait to burn rubber and buy new tires !

If you do have a good reproduction scoop the back edge of the scoop should follow the same contour of the hood rear edge.
The last I checked the hood scoop should be an inch from rear of hood...
