How hard is that to do? ... would I need new shackles? ... can't seem to locate a new set of rear springs ... these are getting as soft and inverted as my own at this age ... lol .... local shop wants $700 bucks to re-arch and I RE and Re ... something wrong with that ...
Not hard at all, 1 bolt in the front and undo the 2 shackle nuts, then the u-bolts, of course to forget to support the car and the rearend. Call mancini, they can help ya out with springs and hangars. No you wont need new shackles, but new shackle bushings would be good.
K ... now that I know what a front eye hangar is ... thanks! ... vertical learning curve here ... at least I don't have to deal with rust issues ... the crate was from CDN desert ... drier than a popcorn fart ... just wire brush the crud and liquid wrench ... all good to go ... I suspect U bolts replace for rear end a good thing? ... it's a low performance 225 ...
Well ... good point ... the springs need to be tweaked ... the passenger rear inverted after sitting for all these years and drivers side flat ... re-arching in these parts is $650 + taxes ... at least where I inquired so ... I think I'd be ahead to replace ... appreciate your input
Well I got a set of superstock springs that I have that has only been in my car for a year.
I just converted to Caltrac suspension. Their the ones for a 3400 pound car. Here is a link to Mancini racing to give you an idea. http://chucker54.stores.yahoo.net/superstock.html
