Have a 64 fury. Supposed to be sport fury 383 4spd black on black. Fender tag missing and build sheet unreadable that was found in back seat. Really don't even know if it's the seat from this car.
Waiting on a historical society to get me the info back but I have my suspicions it a auto car even though the pedals are in it.
Bought as a basket case sandblasted warped and all.
Not sure what direction to go. Pretty much a restore or just build what I want?
My first thought is just mini tubs mild 500ci. Next is full on tubs wild bb Street able but on the edge.
Do know I'll need the third pedal as it will have a clutchflight. Have 2 of them and theirs nothing like it.
Short question is are the holes for automatic cables & do I cut the car up past putting it back to original in the future.
Floor pan has been replaced so have no clue if it had a hump or not

Welcome from another MI Mopar person. I am far from an expert on this but from some pictures that I've seen, the manual hump would have been in the patch area below those 2 holes on your car. I have a 65 Coronet 500 with the 727 automatic console shifted. I recently put my interior back in (minus the carpet) but is looks like my cables are going into holes in about the same area. I believe you can get a repop hump at AMD or classic industries. Good luck with the project.

Just concerned that the holes WOULD NOT be their if was really a 4spd car. The pedals don't look to be tampered with but it sat in a guys garage for 7years after being blasted cause he was so disappointed in all the wrapped panels that he gave up.
Over all clean car but cause of the blaster it needs both quarters AND a roof.
Have doner roof here and working on that. Dam lot of spot welds for a skin and to think I have to do it twice

Regal auto in Howell Michigan has a 65 corrnet in their u pull it yard. Not much left doors their decent shape.
FYI the roof is missing...lol

I don't know for sure, if the two holes would be there, for a standard trans. Though it could be the same for either auto, or standard. One hole for shift cable, one for park cable? 64 parts book could tell if their the same, or not.

Aw, heck, I'll have to look when I go to the shop today. Think I remember cable shifts go through one elongated rubber boot. Doesn't help, since I've only had auto cars.
Good luck on it.

That is funny,
Do you know if it has a decent trunk lid on it?

All the 64-65 B-bodies had the holes stamped in the pan! They were not drilled though! That is the general area for the holes shown in the pics.

Yes, the holes are for the auto shift cables. Never had one, but from info I've seen on clutchflights, pretty sure shift cables are used. And, no hump, though if it is originally a 4-speed car, no say, since pedals are there.
Is there a console with the car? The floorpans replaced...but don't see the mounting brackets for a console.

Got the 4 spd hump from Brewer's today. ( Called 3 pm yesterday and it was on my porch today Great service)
Anyway from the way it fits the floor is perfect but it covers up a bracket or part of one that's welded to the tunnel has me wondering if it was really a 4 spd car.
Have not seen enough of these cars to know where the push buttons would have been in the dash. But the only space in this car is to the left of the steering column. On the right between instruments and radio is heater controls.

I have a 64 Fury. 727 Pushbutton trans. Cables go threw oval hole in firewall below master cylinder area, also had a 65 Plymouth. cable drive. cables went as in your pic

That is a piece of the console mounting bracket! I don't think it was an original 4 spd. car.

I believe that's what it is. Part of console. Really have no idea. Got sport fury bucket seats with it. No console. At least not that I have found in all the parts.
Car does Vin out as a 64 sport fury v8. Lynch rd plant. That's all I know as of now.
Got the car pretty much as a basket case. 3 trips to bring it all home.
Seems that if cables ran thru those 2 holes that would be a pretty sharp bend.

In the end it's going to be 4spd with bench seat unless Chrysler historical data tells me it's something crazy cool

Another no expert here...
Though, as far as I know, for those years, if it is a Sport Fury, they always came with bucket seats up front. That was part of the SF package. One thing I'm not sure of is, if a floor shift standard trans...was there always a console, to go along with the bucket seats?
The shift cable holes, whether off the dash (yes, on the left side), or the floor, I'm pretty sure were always there. If they were not used, they took a plastic plug...in the floor, or at the firewall.
Have to wonder if, since the car had been worked on, the pedals maybe added??? That's if originally is was an automatic car.
Not that it matters, but whoever put the floor in...wonder if they kept any brackets that were on the original floor?

Any rate, have fun with it!!!

It should have 4 holes on each side of the drive shaft tunnel for the buckets! Also 2 more console brackets. The SFs always came with buckets, You could order a Fury with buckets and no console!

Hmmm...64 Ply...gonna be a great ride, whatever you do to it!
Good to hear you got your info.
