Who sells a nice 'glass Hemi hood scoop for a '64 Belvedere? And who doesn't? Looking for one that will bolt on without major reworking to get bolts into it.
Any suggestions?
Also, anyone have pics of how you mounted front hood pins on your '64 radiator support?
Thanks for any assistance.

i would like to see the hood pins set up got a s/s kit just not in the cue yet.

Sledcity, forum vendor, he goes by the "glassman" get in touch with him by pm or email.

Don't use the core support. Use the upper grille support plate. This gets the pins further forward. The location has been tested to 145 mph. After mounting use a piece of tubing slid over the pin and tilt it forward until it is 90 to the slope of the hood. This will tweak the support slightly around the pin but it doesn't show. Now the scuff plate will sit flush on the hood.look close or blow the pic up larger to see the pins

how bout a picture of a 1963 plymouth hood with max wedge scoop

I love the orange car pictured above.

A couple of updates. I forgot to mention that I had to lengthen the front pins. This was accomplished by drilling and tapping a 1.00"x.750" diameter piece of round aluminum stock drilled and tapped for the pins. I used the cut old ends from the rear pins as they were to long, Or you could use a bolt in the bottom through the grille support. The pins are located 4.00" in from the edge of the hood and about 5.50" back from the front edge measured with a flexible steel ruler. Pics of the rears as well.

Just to udate, thanks to dvw (Doug) for the help, I did a set-up similar to his. I also got a scoop from Sledcity (Larry) in less time than he predicted.
Looks like everything should go well.

Larry isn't returning calls
A guy deserveres a vacation once in a while. Just finishing up a batch of Hemi and max wedge scoops for the big Mopar swap meet here in Columbus, Ohio on Nov 15th, 2014 at the Ohio Expo Center. I also will be taking orders. Please call again. 1-614-875-0369.

Here is my 63 with the Max Wedge scoop on it. I got this scoop and glass hood used from a friend so I dont know what brand it is. My brother bought a glass hood and the 64 Hemi scoop for his 64 Fury from a company in Flordia and had great service. I can show you more pics of my 63 Sport Fury's hood up closer but as I said I dont know who's hood and scoop they are. But I will say the scoop is glass and its thick and sturdy as I think my scoop weighs as much as my hood but its a race hood as it has no provisions to hook it to hindges. And as DVW said the 63 and 64 hood are the same. Its just that usually the 64 has the big chrome mld across the front of the hood. Ron
