Have a '64 Plymouth post car in very nice restorable condition. BUT have always wanted a '65 Plymouth post car, but have been unable to find one . Especially a straight one. Don't get me wrong, I love the '64 Plymouth post also....and believe it is a very nice looking car also... I have everything to convert the '64 post to a '65 post, and don't really care about the work involved. What do you think - should I just do the '64, or build/convert a '65 Plymouth post car?? :edgy::yes:::no: :edgy:

Well I belong to the 64 club, so I voted 64. I'm sure whichever you decide It will end up being a great car. Good Luck!

I would do the 64 but that is me. Sounds like you really want a 65 so why don't you try trading the 64 for one?

What's involved in converting? Front end, trunk, grafting on tail lights? Interior stuff? What are you going for a street machine or stock?

I'd lean towards getting the car you really want to start with.

For the record I like both!

Do you want to end up doing both? If not sell the 64 for a 65. I had three project cars and gave them all up and got what I really wanted. The car I have now is going to take every extra $$$ and time just to finish it but it is what I wanted. I had to be patient and do a lot of searching but it finally came to me:)

I know exactly what you mean!! I sold a '64 Savoy and a '65 Dodge Coronet 440 to get a '65 Plymouth 2 door sedan... Keep looking, you'll find it. BTW, the '65 post is everything I thought it would be... Some nights, I like to sleep in it!

Is that your choice to sleep in it, or does your wife make you sleep in it?

Ha Ha BTW, Cuda, go '64..... Use what you got! It's enough work as it is! And '64's are great......

I once had a 65 Fury 2 dr sedan and sold it to a guy from Michigan. I wish I still had the car. I have never seen another one like it since.

Blessings,
Shakota

I just finished at 64 Savoy A 864 clone. I looked all over for a nice 64 post body. 65s seemed to be everywhere. I think the 64 Savoy is the best looking B Body made. With the Hemi pkg they are unique in appearance.

i had both a 64 post aluminum front end max wedge savoy.
real deal max wedge car with 2400 miles. its a nice car but i like my 63 plymouth better.
i also have a 65 a990 hemi belvedere clone with original frontend parts and interior. just not the vin tag.
i love my 65. runs and drives great.
i sold my 64 to a guy in colorado. i dont miss it one bit.

Good stuff guys. I have a 62 Belvedere post and a 64 Savoy post but would love to have a 65 Coronet post. Both of my cars needs restored so where's the best place for sheet metal like pans and quarter skins? Thanks and i do love this model of car. At this time i dont have a Hemi to go in one but i do have a Dual Quad 12.5:1 STR 14 440 settin on the stand waiting for a recip.
