After having work done, my parking brake no longer works. All is connected but I don't see a clamp or bracket to hold the cable in place. Can someone post a diagram of the parts under the car or a couple of photos so I can see what is now missing. It just goes to the floor now. Tons of play in the cable. Thanks in advance for any help or photos

I don't have any exact pics but the one I'm showing has, in the center of the pic, pieces that are hooked on both ends. See if yours are still under the car. Somewhere in the center on the frame. The cable runs through these and if they come unhooked they won't take the slack out of the cable, just as you described...

When I got my 63 all the parking brake parts were missing.I was able to get everything from the Right Stuff thru Jegs. The cable from the pedal goes to the trans cross member and snaps in place with a clip. Then there is a U shaped bracket that connects the long cable from the rear axle feeds. That cable has 2 supports on the body to hold them up.At the U shaped bracket is where your slack adjustment is made. They may have missed one of the locations along the way. Just a thought. Oh forgot to say the parts can be bought individual too.

Sounds like I have everything except the cross member clip. Everything is in place but the cable is not attached to the cross member and is laying on the exhaust. Need to know a part number or way to identify that clip. It must have been there and gotten lost. Thanks

Bob, couple Picts of my '64 dodge. Same setup. The shot where you see the cable connected to the u-shaped cable saddle threads through the trans crossmember. Sounds to me like the main cable was not threaded through to body brackets. Assuming all the cables are connected from the peddle to the rear backer plates. And then connected to the activation lever inside the brake drum.

I will get this on a lift and see what is going on. If I can't figure it out then I'll post a couple of pictures. Ask me about a C.......t and I can help but the Mopar is all new to me. Loving this car though. Thanks

Wow! welcome to the club! Love the 2 Door Post '64's, whether Dodge or Plymouth! Looks like we have "Brother-From-Another-Mother." Hahaha! I'm sure we would all like to see a few more shots of the car and some history...
