Progress has been slow, but things should be moving along now. The back metal work and suspension is done, and its time to start the front mods. Im not sure how far forward the move will be yet. I will figure it out once the parts get here.

I'm diggin' it. Cant wait for more pics.

Looking good, that body looks pretty damn straight. I'm envious. There are tons of historic photos to help you decide how far to move the front. We ended up doing our fenders twice to match the axle move that we liked.

Thanks for the kind words.
The car is virtually rust free and yea, straight. Thats really hard to come by here in NY.
From what I can tell, this was some ones ex race car. The front fenders and hood were swapped out at some point. It had a cage once and just tell tale signs of race mods. There is also a body in white fender tag. I thought this was cool when I purchased it. A 413 resides inside as well. I will put up more pics as thing progress.

The front..

Looking good. That spring looks really short compared to the A-100 set, Is it from Speedway?

Looks great!!!Seems like the shackle should be in the rear to help with handling...I cant wait to see the finished product!!!!!

Thanks guys, yes the front set up is from Speedway, their Gasser Kit. The springs are on the short side, but Im not doing BullRun with the car so I can deal with the poor ride. It did make placement easier.
FYI...Jesse at KNS Kustoms is doing all the work up front. Great guy, quality work.

Glad to see your build-up!!! How far did you end up pushing the rear forward? Love the trunkwork too!!!!

Damn, I need to get back on my Polara.....

Very KOOL!!!There are a couple of AWB cars downstate & LI.What part of NY are you in?Sometimes they let me play in thier sandbox:laughing9:

Thanks for the interest in my project guys. The rear was moved 12", the front 6.5". Im on LI Nassau/Suffolk border. Hope to have some more progress pics in a week or so.

AWB's are cool!! Nice work, and keep the pics coming.... It's very motivating. I wrestling with putting a cage in mine, and you crazy A S S E S are sacking up and building what you want!!! NICE!!

How goes the progress Obsessed? We are days away from having primer down on ours then it's just block sanding and top coats. It's driving me nuts having to wait.

Awesome old school-concept, quality of work, and execution all top flight!

Thanks for the kind words guys.
The shop the car was in moved, so some time was lost. Progress is being made, steering, motor mounts and cutting/welding stuff. It will be a little bit before final body work and paint happen. Probably over the winter. Motor/Trans has to come out so I can do a rebuild on em.
I will post progress pics as soon as I am able.
