64 polara rear shocks coilover ?

Brought home my 4th 64 polara 2day. All 4 have coil over rear shocks. . Can any1 tell me . Is this a factory standard ? Or just one of those odd deals., 1 4dr 440 . . 1 4dr 500.. 1 2dr ht 426 4speed 500 . 1 318 500 ragtop . Thanx 4 any info. Il post a pic. If i can figure-it-out

Just one of the cures for sagging leaf springs. Last two early cars I bought have the same shocks. Any of the cars have trailer hitches?

Mine had a trailer hitch and now it's sitting on the shelf.
Found new shocks with the spring on ebay for 78 bucks new.
