looking at a 64 dodge polara 318 today...
its supposedly black car with black interior. any rareity to that? or common?

I owned a black on black '64 Polara 500 when I was 18. Have only seen one that was on the internet for sale. It was for sale for several yrs and at a high price. Heck it might still be for sale somewhere. I don't remember the amount but it did have Cragar SS wheels.
That's the only one I have ever seen in 30 plus years. They always seem to have red interiors when the exterior is black. I have seen green interiors with black exterior. I don't know if there are any documented records on color combos like on engine combos...

Give us more details if you want. (Condition, is it a "500", tach, power, options, ect.)

The one on EBay is a whole lot better than the one in the video, not the same car. $17000 would not be to bad for the one on ebay the video one would take a whole lot of work and money to drive that one to a curse in.

i took a pic of the fender tag....see if any of you all know what that tells me. i tried to look it up with no luck.

attaching pic soon.

These are what the #s directly under the alphabet mean.

A-5 Torqueflite 727

F-1 Am radio

H-5 Front heater

M-3 Back-up lights

N-8 Dual jet windshield washers

P-2 Outside left hand remote mirror

T-8 Battery (not sure what amp.)

Now these are your bottom row of abbreviations.

SO Number (0413) - April 13th

Order or production# (0300)

BDY (632)- the 6 is Dodge V8, the 3 is Polara, the 2 is 2dr hardtop

TRM (H4X)- the H is high grade, bench the 4 is vinyl, the X is black

PNT (BB) Black with black top.

If you purchase the car and find a "broadcast" card the codes on it are more descriptive and easier to decipher.
