Hey everyone,
I'm in the process of rewiring my dash board but I'm trying to figure out what wires connect to what on the 10 little prongs on the back of the instrument cluster. There's five on one circuit board and another 5 on the other. Really trying to figure this out so anything will greatly be appreciated.

Would printed circuit connector 1 Be the left hand side board if you were looking at the backside of the cluster? Or how would you distinguish them. And for connecting the wires to the prongs, it would be 1-5 connecting from top to bottom? If that makes any sense. My bad for the rookie questions for wiring, I'm still learning lol

That's how you learn!

Simple answer...for pretty much anything you look at, on wiring diagrams. Chose one, or two wires, and follow where they hook-up on the other end. That tells you if it's right, or wrong. Just takes a little thought, and common sense.
Not that easy...not that hard.

OK, I'm retired and have too much time on my hands and always enough to try to help a fellow FBBO member. I just hope I got this right.

Thank you! Exactly what I was looking for! Also, I have another question if you don't mind answering. It came a with a stock 318 2bbl, I was wondering should I stick with it as I know 318's are reliable as hell or should I swap it for a 360? Also worth mentioning it had a 2nd exhaust added from the previous owner. Making this a daily driver but also want to give it a little power. Don't want to sacrifice too much mpg for the sake of power only because I like to drive a lot and for school which is a commute away.

I would keep that 318 just as it is. It will keep up at freeway speeds & get good mpg.

The Black wire is part of the harness. Within the harness it is spliced/common to other wires. Its termination points are -
Black- Ignition switch "A" terminal.
Black- dash cluster
Black- fuse panel which feeds (via a fuse) the heater vacuum switch
Red- the flasher
Pink- the windshield wiper switch

The Blue wire, also within the harness, is fed directly from the ignition switch "I" terminal to the instrument cluster.

I am not familiar with the Kwik harness but a look at their website mentions "adaptive fit for virtually any make & model." If you understand automotive electrics, you should have no problems cross referencing their kit with OEM wiring. If your electrical skills are marginal, this will be a learning experience.

Got it, sounds simple enough. I'll take a look at it this weekend. I'll keep questions coming on this if I have any more as time goes on with this. As I have been doing.
