65 318 poly to a 68 383

Hey guys looking for some advice on a swap.. I have a 65 Satellite convertible 318 poly auto with floor shift. I just purchased a 68 Newport 383 auto with a trans that needs to be rebuilt. Should I search for a BB 65 cable shift or just have the 68 rebuilt and buy the piece A&A makes to switch it to cable shift?
Will I be able to use the kickdown from the Newport in the Satellite.

Also for the guys that have done a similar swap, can recommend what I will need for this swap that would be a big help...

If your not a trans guru, it'd be better to use the trans you have with the kit to hook up the cables, the trans mount is different, you can buy engine mounts that will fit, the 318 radiator lower neck will point right at the oil filter, you can use the short filter or have the neck angled outward.

The trans mount, is there a modification I have to do, or do I just buy a 68 trans mount?
