65 Belvedere Convertible Weather stripping location help

Hello

I am putting together a 65 Belvedere II Convertible and the weather stripping for the front pillar was missing.
Does it get glued to the chrome trim on the door in front of the vent window or does it attach to the bodies pillar itself???

It looks like the old one was glueded to the door but I wanted to make sure.

The pillar post weatherstriping is on the angled chrome part of the vent wing frame.

There is a screw at each end and the middle is held in place with a little 3M weatherstrip adhesive.
