Looks like it did a little off roaden' and could back out. Good looking car.

I don't know yet. All I was told it was big block 4 something! I know its not a hemi. The pics are coming from my driver so he pulled over and took the pics for me. He said when he gets to a rest stop he will take some. the craigslist post had 1or 2 pics of the motor so that why I know its not a hemi and the nice lady couldn't tell me over the phone... :)

I think I scored for 6k I'm on cloud 9 right now. I just wanted to share with you guys since I've been lurking this message board for 2 years lol

Someone did some interesting work taking the tranny buttons out of a '64 Dodge or Plymouth and making a unique console shifter. '64 was the final year for buttons; thanks to Ralph Nader and car rental co's. '65 was the crossover year for dropping the buttons to a floor or column gear shifter. The '65 tranny could be set up either way.

interesting

It looks to be a column shift from the factory but then was converted to this... I'm wondering why? I guess I will find out whats going on underneath when she gets home Friday.

Looking forward to engine pics....nice score.

Back when the torqueflite 727 with buttons was popular on the drag strip circuit. Some iconic racers preferred them to manual shifting. In fact a couple had taken buttons out of '64's and installed in the '65's once buttons were nuked.

Very cool.

What part of Wa. State did it come from? Looks like eastern Wa.!
