Can anyone point me in the right direction? I need the part that is welded in where the eccentric for front end alignment rides. This pic isn't my car. It looks like part of mine flattened out.

I am also wondering if anyone can tell me how to get the lower control arm bushing out of the control arm. I have the arm out of the car but the bolt and torsion bar adjuster are still in there.

Thanks

Heat the rubber with a torch then peel it out with a screw driver. To remove the outer shell weld a thick (1/8") washer to the front edge of the sleeve. Weld it at least 30 percent around or you'll rip it off in the next step. Now press against the washer from the rear. It will drive the sleeve out with no damage to the arm. Air chisel will work also but its a pain and scars up the inside of the arm.

^^^ This, or buy the tool from American Muscle for about $50. The tool works like a charm and you can do both sides in about 20 minutes.

I welded a washer to the inner sleeve and was able to pop it out with a few good whacks. Thanks for the help with this.

Now for another question. Is there a tool to chase threads in upper control arm for the ball joint? Or do the threads on a new ball joint cut into the control arm?

New threads are self-tapping, do not chase them.
