I just got info back for my 65 belvedere II from Chrysler Historical Services.
Turns out the car was originally a 426 street wedge w/ 4spd.
Leading to my question.....
Anyone know how many 426 street wedges with 4spd were produced in 65? The car is mostly original as it sits outside of motor and tranny. Was planning on making a pro touring ride but if this is a rare combination I will bring it back to factory specs.
Thanks in advance

Thank You for the info, so to the next ?. Should a car such as this 426 SW 4 spd be restored to factory specs or should my original plan of a pro touring resto (disc brakes, AC, etc) be the route to take. In my research of auctions and sales I have not found this combo. Is a 1 of 384 made considered that rare of a car? I would need to find a 65 model engine and tranny along with seats and door panels, most everything else is on the car.
What type of value am I looking at say on a #2 car

the car is worth restoring back. Parts are around-but hey it is your car-you can restore it any way you want. And I am sure it would be cool either way!

Nope,
Not worth it at all...they are a "dime a dozen"!

But, I'll do you a favor and I will pay you $2,500 for it.
I will take it off your hands for you.

PS: Minimum of $35K restored as a stock #2

He specializes in all early Mopars. No "aftermarket" colors, no "white walls", no radial tires etc.
Just as Mother Mopar made them.
He has built some of the BEST of the BEST.
He's here in So Cal, Monrovia.

Yeah,
"egynther" NEEDS to see the stuff Bob Mosher has done...
THAT alone will turn anyone into a MOPAR believer , Like that Black 65 Plym Belvedere I the "kid" stole (his Dad worked at Mosher's) because the kid broke up with his girlfriend and he wanted to kill himself...

Man, that was a beautiful 65 Plymouth. Rumored to be the "Best in the World"

Anyway, the kid lived, paralyzed, but the car is GONE....
