is imperial services the only source for shifter/park/speedometer cables for my 65 console shift satellite? I need two of the cables for sure(cant remember which ones), but at over $200 each , may have to live with the drips

Before I converted my '65 to a 4 speed, I had the same issue. A slight drip from the shift cable. The park cable was fine as the trans is an A990 clone without park provisions. I solved the problem by removing the shift cable from the trans, removing the adjustment wheel from the cable, cleaning the last 6" or so of the cable thoroughly, and then sliding a 6" or so length of fuel line over the area (making sure that the adjustment wheel had full travel. I then completely filled the area between the hose and cable with Ultra Copper silicone sealer. Let everything set up over the next few days, put it back together and no more drips. Of course, the O ring should be replaced also.
Hope this helps you out.
