65 Coronet disc brake swap

Hello, recently purchased a nice running, driving 65 Coronet 4 door. I would really like to put disc brakes on this car but have no idea what I need for a donor. It also has a LA 318 in it and I'm curious if I can get headers for this car as this isn't the original engine.

Headers are no problem. Disc conversion, check ebay, you'll find a lot of them.

Cheap way is to use all factory parts. If you can find a large bolt pattern disk brake A body, or any FMJ body (Aspen, Volare, Fifth Avenue, etc.) in a boneyard grab the complete spindle with rotor and caliper. Then, you just need lines, proportioning valve, and a disk brake master cylinder. Good time to convert from the jelly jar single master to a dual master cylinder. I blew a wheel cylinder on my '66 and lost ALL brakes. With a dual master from a 67 and later you would have half the brakes if that happened instead of none...

A diplomat works... a kit can be put together from parts also... check the ram man he has the information and parts...

I went with Scarebird kit. Not ideal but works pretty good, they're helpful and it's been trouble free for 1.5 years, FWIW.

Wow, I need to see if they have a kit for my 65 Belvedere!!
That would make things simple. I would rather spend the extra, instead of searching for parts everywhere.

I went to Summit and bought the whole 4 wheel disc conversion kit from Right Stuff. I believe the complete setup was around $1k.

I will have to check. This just got me excited. I want at least front disc on my 65 Belvedere. I just bought it, and drove it home the other day. It was not fun to stop....

It bolts up to the drum spindle, has a vented rotor and saved a TON of weight. I paid just under $700 for this setup.

I went there, and could not figure out if you guys had them for my
1965 Plymouth Belvedere 225/6. Non Power Brakes.
I seen them, but don't know if I am navigating properly on your site, to know if they are for my car.

Yeah, but you can order the kit about anywhere. Get the Pro Street kit as it has a beefier rotor.

I bolted in a pair of $100 junk yard disc brakes from a Mirada.... They work excellent and haven't had any ride or alignment issues. I found one that looked like had just had brakes redone and snatched them off.
