65 coronet front brake shoes cracked

Still have a lot of shoe left but they are cracked...should I replace these?

it looks like they were overheated. personally, I would replace them along with freshly turned drums.
 
They are toast.... I would check the drums and weel bearings for wear and excessive heat blueing cracking etc....
 
Looking for an excuse to save $20.... you won't find it here.... do both sides of the car at the same time....

Exactly... bearings, seals, hardware kit to include '69 and up adjusters, weel cylinders,and all 3 rubber lines then shoes and drums.... and check out the thread on ventilated drums I started on here.

No, did you actually think I was trying to save $20????:jerk:
 
There are people that will try adn save the 20 bucks if they can.

Personally I believe brakes are #1 with a suspension in good shape as #2 and good headlights as a close #3 in importance.
