Looking for some 65 Coronet rebuild owners to bounce questions off of that aren't easy to find in repair manuals. Just got it back from paint and continuing to run into various problems. Thanks in advance to any takers.

What are your questions? We can help, but ya gotta ask.

Thanks for your reply, basically what I have is 65 Coronet 500 body which someone put a 440 in and turned it into a 4 speed. No electrical was wired in on the motor or vacuum lines for heater controls. Found a vacuum hose coming out of the firewall cut off. Not sure where it should land, on the intake or at the base of the carb. Numerous other problems such as wiper not working and some of the gauges and brake lights. The steering column must have been changed out because the brake light switch is dangling under dash and there may be a stop bracket missing on the brake pedal arm. There are probably other things I'm forgetting, but it's a start.

Your gonna need a FSM, that will help ALOT! Vacuum should be taken off the manifold for the heater controls. Gotta check for power going from the wiper switch to the wiper motor, go from there. The same with the gauges and brake light switch.

The FSM's are available as reprints. You can buy them on a disc too, but nothing beats paper.

thanks alot for the info, can you tell me if there is supposed be a bracket mounted on the brake pedal arm for the stoplight switch to rest against in the brake light off position?

It should just touch the "eyelet".

It should have an L shaped bracket that bolts to the large brake pedal hangs from the switch should touch the eye of the brake rod! If you don't have those parts get back to me! I have them.

In case you might be looking for one. I have a original 1965 Dart/Coronet Factory Service Manual that I would sell for $40 That price would include the shipping. PM me here if you are interested.

I probably need both, the switch bracket and ' L ' bracket also. How much for both?
