65 Coronet long console

I have been looking for a carpet kit for my console. I was under the impression I have the long console..that is what I have been told. Now I see a member here has a console out of a 65 Monaco which looks to have a longer section which also appears to have a ashtray/lighter. Now I am confused LOL..DOES TAKE MUCH...LOL

If your Coronet console is stock, there is only two possible carpet kits. One for the automatic and one for the 4 speed. It's the same kits for a '65 satellite, by the way. The C body Monaco may very well be different than our B bodies.

Thanks wedgie, that is what I thought until I saw the 65 Monaco, it looks identical mine but has the extra piece on the back. So when I am asked if I have the short or long console buy suppliers..??????

I put the c body console in my 64 cause I like the look of it. Plus it was a bolt in and I got Legendaty to makr the carpet kit for free since they did not have one the longer console.

The C body console is LONGER and easy to ID as it is the only one you will find with the cigar lighter and ashtray no B body console had this.

People move consoles around or use what they find available to them. You see Charger consoles with the arm rest on the console in other B bodies often and it too confuses people.
