65 Coronet rims and tires...

65 Coronet.... just scored a sweet new ride...What will fit? I am worried about the way those back wheel wells come down so low....I love the look but am worried.

They're bigger than they look. I have 235-60-15 under mine with PLENTY of room to spare.

Before making any modifications whatsoever, I was able to run 275-60X15 on 7" wheels with a 4 1/8" back space on my '65 Coronet. I was also able to fit 9X29 1/2 Mickey Thompson slicks using the same wheels.

I have 15'x8' steelies on 265x60x15 on my 6 no problems 41/2" back space max.

i'm running a nos set of formula1 super stock biasplys L60-15 on the rear of mine on a 15x7 rim 4 1/4 in, backspace but im going to change to a 15x8 rim with 4 1/2 bs so it will flatten the tread out more tire needs a wider rim basically.
