I'm putting together my Hemi Coronet and I have a pile of new weatherstrpping and since I did not take the car apart, I'm having trouble figuring out where all the pieces go. Does anyone know where I can get detailed instructions/pictures to put this stuff on? Thanks a billion.

The best place to get all of the above information would be in a copy of the 1965 Coronet Factory Service Manual. If you don't want to go that route, take a look on the following web site and you should be able to figure out most of what you need there.

Thanks Richard, I bought a factory service manual and the shiester did not tell me it was a copy. You can barely make out the pictures. It makes for some good reading though.

That sucks. I've been buying most of my Factory Service Manuals and Factory Parts Books from a company called Lloyd's Automobile Literature. You can check them out at http://www.lloydsautolit.com/

The nice thing about Lloyd's is the fact that they are licensed by Chrysler to print this material, so you get very nice (and very clear) reproductions of the original material. ;) The Factory Parts Books are also very good for this type of information and some are available in a CD format which is cheaper than the printed book format that I like. :parts book:

If you like, you can drop me an e-mail or a phone call and I will attempt to help you out with the weatherstripping questions for your car. I have been working with Dave Jr. and his family at Restoration Specialities for over 10 years as a vendor of their product line and they are a tremendous asset to this hobby. I also have Joe Suchy about 80 miles south of me who is as knowledgeable on 62 to 65 B-bodies as anybody out there and has provided us with most of the weatherstripping samples that we have been reproduced over the past three to five years.

I agree. Dave IS the man to talk to about Mopar's at Restoration Specialties and he has been VERY helpful to me every time I've dealt with him over the years. They also sell a VERY high quality product line.

You guys are a great asset to the hobby thanks. I thinl I'll try to get a new factory manual and see how that works.

Just my personal opinion, buy while your at it, try to purchase a copy of the 1965 Factory Parts Book also. Not only will it cover all of the parts that were used on your 65 Coronet, but it will also cover all of the parts that were used on all of the 1965 passenger cars. :) If you really look at it, you will see some parts that were interchangeable on several different body styles, which helps in finding parts. Obviously, it's also a huge help to have the correct part number when you go searching for parts.

With those two books in hand, you will have a really good idea of how your car was put together and all of the parts that were used. I will warn you though, the folks that wrote the Factory Parts Books, had a warped sense of humor on how they put those books together! :black_eye: Once you get used to how they did things, it will become a huge help on your build.
