Hello guys,
Looking for a bit of help. Rebuilding a 65 coronet. I cannot locate the windshield washer pump wiring. There is nothing under the hood. When we got the car there was not tank or pump. We got a reproduction but can't find the wires. Plus any help where the hoses route. The guy who painted the car also installed the washer kit and hooked the hose up to a hose that comes out of the firewall. Doesn't seem right. On top of that we have no nozzles and have no idea where that hose coming out of the firewall goes.
Any help would be appreciated. Picture also would help. Any idea where to get nozzles? I looked around a bit but could not find any for a 65.
Thanks

Well, here's a couple photos that may help. The hose from the firewall is most likely the vacuum source hose for the heater vacuum motors/diaphragms. It should source engine vacuum at the intake manifold. The washer fluid flows from the tank/reservoir to the pump (under-mounted on inner fender) and out of pump through hose routed rearward along with wiring harness and up to top of cowl to the splitter fitting. Joe Suchy may be able to provide parts for you. Good luck.

That vacuum hose to the firewall for the heater seems like it would be right. It's been a long time since I worked on something older that uses vacuum. How do I find Joe Suchy? And the lead wire to the pump, I can't tell the color in the photo. Plus is it coming out of the wire harness?
Thank you

Are you familiar with the 62 to 65 Mopar site? Joe is a listed vendor there. The pump power comes through a tan/w. tracer lead run separate/alone from the bulkhead connector to the pump.

Thanks for the replies. The pictures help along with the wire color. We do have a 4 door parts car and upon looking i see the tan wire coming out of the bulkhead. The 2 door I'm working on doesn't have that Wire and if I take the connector off it looks like there never was one. Could it possibly have been an option on this car that it never had? One reason I ask this is that there is a dimple in the body where the plastic tee would mount but no screw hole. It's like it was never put in at the factory. I don't know much about older mopars.

In the past, cars were built to factory baseline specs. If you wanted more options the salesman would check off the items you desired on the order form. It was a nice setup. Today the factory adds all the former options as standard equipment. I imagine profit is maximized with this procedure! So the windshield washers were probably an option in 1965.

Thank you. Sounds like this car never had it.
