65 Factory Tach

I was given a 65 coronet factory console tach for my car. Just the tach. On the back there are 2 studs and the light. Is there supposed to be a sending unit for this tach? If not it should be a simple hook up. I can't see the tach in the factory wiring diagram.

I believe those had what's called a seperate "tach can" so yes it has a sending unit. I pretty sure there's an upgrade for those tachs that do away with the sending unit.
